Google Tez App for UPI Based Digital Payments App has been launched in India. In order to promote digital transactions in India, Google has launched a new payment app ‘Tez’, specially designed for India. It’s not necessary for both the parties to have the app or QR code in order to make or receive payment through the new application. This feature in the app has been provided completely free.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley launched the fastest app in a ceremony. This app can be downloaded from Google’s Play Store. Google Tez App can be used on both Android-based mobile handsets and on the iPhone. After downloading this app you have to set a PIN or a screen lock. Once you have done that you will have to link it to your bank account.
If the account is linked to the mobile number then the number must be entered. After this there will be a message from the mobile and the number of accounts linked to this number will be added automatically. Once the process is complete, the money can be transferred to anyone from the available options.
No need to open an account separately on Google Tez App
The most important thing about Google Tez App is that users will be able to make payments directly from their bank account. There is no need to open separate bank account. There is also cash mode in this app. By using the cash mode, a ‘TEZ’ user can send money directly to the other ‘TEZ’ user present. There is no need to share any bank detail or phone number to use this option.
Add Friends and earn money
Google has also announced some special offers to popularize the Google Tez App. Firstly there is a scratch card offer in it. Secondly, if you are able to connect 20 of your friends in a month, then you can earn up to Rs 1000. Apart from this, no fees will be charged for receipt of money till the limit of Rs. 50,000 per month.
Well, looking at this it looks like a very lucrative offer. The brand name of Google is bound to make all the other payment apps fall behind. After the launch of Android O, this is another giant step taken by Google.
